How we package

Cans ready to be filled

Cans ready to be filled

Let’s talk about packaging!

All of our beers are now naturally conditioned right in their container (bottle or can). Instead of carbonating the beer by forcing carbon dioxide into it, we package it with a specific amount of extra sugar. The wonders of fermentation do their thing right in the package, and 10-14 days later, the beer is carbonated!

Packaged on date

Packaged on date

All of our cans and bottles include a packaging date so you know when the beer was packaged. Remember that it takes 10-14 days from packaging to be ready to drink (and even longer for our mixed culture beers).  We recommend enjoying our canned offerings within 90 days of this packaging date and keeping them cold until you are ready to enjoy.  Our wild and funky beers will continue to evolve in the bottle for many months and even years when stored at cellar temperatures. When you crack one of our beers open, you are enjoying the beer right out of a tiny fermenter. We think it gives you the best tasting beer possible for the styles we brew! Don’t forget to grab some at our local retailers or through curbside pickup here on Saturdays!

Cheers!

Exciting News!

Coop_Entrance.jpg

During these weird times, we want to make it easier for you to get great local beer… so we’re VERY excited to announce that Polyculture is now available at Co-op Food Stores in New Hampshire! Look for our new Czech-inspired pilsner ‘Tram 22’ in Lebanon and Hanover and our American saison ‘Three Front Doors’ in Lebanon.

Check out all the retail locations that carry our beer here!

Don’t forget that our beer garden is open this Saturday (July 18th) from 12-5pm. It’s one of just a few chances to have a pint here this summer and a fresh batch of a tart favorite is returning just in time! Come enjoy a beer with a view. Check out the tap list here and find more details about how we are operating safely at our Visit Us page. We’ll be continuing curbside pickup Saturdays throughout the summer – place your order here.

Cheers!

Summer 2020

[S U M M E R     2 0 2 0 ]

We’d like to thank our customers for their continued support during this strange time! Like most small businesses, we’ve had to adapt to a changing landscape. Curbside pickup and delivery have kept us going and our beer garden re-opening went well (aside from some rain). We’re a small, family-run business and we don’t see things going back to ‘normal’ for us anytime soon. We want to give you an update on our plans for this summer and how to continue to enjoy our beer.

We will continue to offer online ordering and curbside pickup on Saturdays and by appointment (contact us to set up a time). We’re also selling our beer in a few retail locations around the region and will be expanding the availability soon (stay tuned for big news!). Look for our new can design filled with solar-powered and 100% can-conditioned beer on shelves.

We have decided to open our beer garden (with precautions in place) on only a few Saturdays through this summer and potentially early fall. We’ve built our beer on community and we believe that sharing our beer and our place with you are an important part of who we are. We’re thinking of the beer garden days as special occasions and hope you will too.

Beer garden dates:

July 18th

August 15th

September 5th

Cheers!

Our First Anniversary

ONeYearBeer.jpg

It’s our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! We want to thank all our customers who have supported our little brewery, as well as the friends and family who have helped along the way.  Looking back on our first year, we’d like to share what we think makes our brewery special.

In our first year, we released 19 different beers. Three of these beers were aged at least 4 months with our slow souring wild culture that we spent years developing.

We feel strongly about making beers that are tied to our place, meaning they are unlike beer from anywhere else. How do we do this? Every batch has used our well water and a unique mix of unusual brewing yeast. All of our beers use American ingredients and all but one recipe uses ONLY American ingredients. Since last July, every batch has featured some portion of local malt. We’ve used other local ingredients like flowers, hops and honey and have plans to do even more. Every bottle, keg or can has been carefully hand-labeled, hand-filled and hand-dated by us.

We believe beer can be a community-builder. We’ve sold most of our beer at Farmers’ Markets, our tasting room, and a few restaurants that are committed to local beer and food producers.  If you’ve tried our beer, you’ve likely had the chance to meet us and chat.  We’ve participated in several community and charity events and hosted two food drives for local shelters. We are active in the NH Brewer’s Association and advocate for the benefits that small breweries can have on local communities.

We have big plans for the coming year, including another season at the Lebanon Farmers’ Market and beer garden that we will open NEXT WEEKEND on Saturday, May 25th.  Thank you all for your support!

Cheers from Chris and Michelle!
